Toshiba L300 1G5 problems

hi,
i baught this laptop second hand a few days ago, i read that it comes with vista pre-intalled on it, when i got it, it had xp on it, lukely i had a spare vista disk that i hadent used before, i installed it, went through perfectly, but iv now come to realise that i have no wlan detected, i know the laptop has it as there is a switch, but nothing happens when switched on.

also the hotkey dosent do anything, the person i baught it of said he had not removed anything from the computer, & never had it open,

also some drivers are missing, but from what i can see nothing to do with the wlan card, here they are,

-Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E fast ethnet NIC (NDIS) 6.0(under network adapters)
-Standard VGA graphics adapter
-Ethernet Controller
-SM Bus Controller
-Video Controller

Please, nothing to tecnical, im only a beginner.
any help appreciated... thanks
 
What is the computer make and model? Most computer manufacturers have drivers their computer available for download on their site - usually for multiple operating systems...

Its a Toshiba Satellite pro L300 1G5 - dual 1.66ghz, 2gb ram. the model number on the bottom is only half there all i can see is PSLB8E-0700,I cant see the rest, thanks
 
You may try going here. There's not a lot of drivers for Vista 64-bit, but I'm thinking that the display driver for 32-bit would work? Maybe - worth a shot at least... You'll have to do some digging, but I'll bet everything you need can be found on that site.

Thanks, iv tried the site and downloaded the intel display drivers for vista 32-bit, unfortunatly when trying to install, i get an error- 'this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software, setup will now exit'. any info on that? thanks
