HELP! Toshiba Laptop L505D

My laptop is a few years old and was working fine last night, but when I boot up tonight all I get is a black screen and no Hard drive light activity.

I reset the RAM & Hard drive, cleaned out CPU fan and other general areas with compressed air. I have also tried, doing a power cycle of the laptop without the battery installed and also without the AC power installed without any luck. The unit seems to power on, meaning CPU fans, optical drive seem to function but the screen stays black and hard drive light never seems to flicker. This model has an external VGA port so I hooked up an external monitor via VGA and tapped FN+F5 on the laptop but still couldn't get any activity on the external monitor.

Lastly, I have booted the laptop on without the hard drive installed and still a blank screen. No BIOS post or anything.

Anyone?

The laptop today still won't boot. I can hear the hard drive spin up but no LED light. If I purchase a SATA to USB enclosure, what are the odds that I can get the pictures/documents off via USB?

There is a adapter that lets you use a desktop as the host computer, and you are able to piggy back off it to retrieve your info/ pictures /and doc's..I will get you a link.
