Toshiba Satelitte A105-S4064 Questions

I bought this laptop back in 06. It seems to be having some issues running multiple things at once. I usually run multiple internet explorer windows open at once. Sometimes up to 7-10.

It has 512 MB of RAM. Is there anything I can do to this to help it run the programs better?
 
Thanks, I will look into upgrading the memory first. Then the video if that isn't sufficient. I run high speed internet already.
