Toshiba Tablet Portege M750 Graphics

The Toshiba Portege M750 does not have a 3-D graphics card, it uses onboard graphics. The problem i am facing is that when using high end multimedia applications such as 3-D animation, Autocad drawing and video editing the computer performance is degraded. I am wondering if there is any way to get around this problem with the extreme of buying a different tablet. I am currently looking into docking stations, does anybody know of any docking stations that could enhance the graphic abilities of these tablets? Any idea is greatly appriated.

The current specs are,

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8700
OS: Windows XP SP3
RAM: 4GB
Storage: 60GB SSD
Grahics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GM45

First off, no docking station would help with graphics unless it had some form of expansion slot. Of course if that's the case the only accelerated display would be external. Plus, I don't know how that can connect to docking stations, but from what I've seen, most laptops have gone away from actual docking station ports. I think most Toshiba's use a USB "docking station".

Second, a good majority of those programs don't relay too much, if any on dedicated graphics. Video editing is almost completely CPU based. 3D animation typically is mostly CPU based as well, with a few exceptions/special plugins.

My guess is you're expecting too much out of the laptop. Remember, it's a portable laptop, not a workstation.

hmm... is there any kind of external GPU that could do the job? i use an external monitor anyway becuase the laptop screen i find is a bit small for these particular applications

Why not use a desktop with powerful specs and then buy a USB drawing tablet?

because i need it to be portable i will be taking it from home to school every day. Is there anything that will be able to enhance the graphical abilities of this laptop, an external display will be used. I'm really at a loss thanks for your replies so far
