Toshiba- Wifi connection

I am unable to connect to my wifi. When I click the radar to search all i get is "This wireless device is disabled. Please enable this device.

At first i thought it was the wifi switch on the front of my laptop but that is on and if i go into the Connectivity Doctor it says it's on.

so how do i enable the wireless device...???

any help is much appreciated...thank you

Go into the device manager under network adapters and see if there is a red X on the device listing. If so right click on it and click enable.

I’ve already checked that…The device isn't listed under network adapters...???
The Toshiba connectivity doctor says the wireless communication switch is on but the device is disabled...??? – How do I turn it on..???

If it doesn't show up in device manager under network adapters then either the driver isn't installed which you should see an entry saying so with a yellow question mark on it or you have a bad wireless card.
