I have a Toshiba L45-S7409 laptop. When I try to turn it on . Only the power indicator light comes on.Nothing else happens. Can anybody out there please tell me what might be wrong, and what can be done to possibly fix it. Thank you

Lots of things.

Absolutely no display? Have you tried hooking it up to an external monitor via the VGA port on the back? Perhaps the monitor is fried.

Can you hear the fan spinning or the hard drive whirring? Nothing?

When did this happen? Have you installed any new hardware? Have you added RAM? Have you tried pulling a stick out - bad RAM can have this effect sometimes. How long have you had it? Did it just quit one day and before that everything was peachy? Or did you buy it like that? Or what?

Have you tried it with a different power source?

Are you sure something didn't get spilled on it or that it wasn't dropped?

Lots of questions. Please give a little more detail and I'll see what I can do for you. Remember, sometimes computers die. :(

i believe I found the problem . It has no harddrive in it. I got this computer out of the trash. So I dont really know anything about it. Just the power on light and battery light come on. No fan is running. It SEEMS to be in pretty good shape on the outside.

LMAO! :D

Yeah. Next time that might be something you want to throw in there. Toshiba I FOUND IN THE TRASH won't power on.

Believe you nailed it.

Well, check all the things I listed in my last post and get back to me if you want to try to fix it. But I'm willing to bet it's fried!

Thanks for the chuckle!!! :D :D :D
