TouchScreen Problem

I have had a good search and can't find anything that will help me.

I have been trying for ages to figure out the problem but it is just impossible so i am hopeing some people here may have an idea.

Basicly the touchscreen will sometimes work and other times not.

Sometime i boot up and it will work for a couple of minutes and then stop working, then it will be a few days later and then it will work again.
Sometimes it will work for and hour and then stop working, its just really tempremental.

Now im pretty sure its drivers or something software related. Its almost as if after a minute or two something loads up or something interferes with the touchscreen and stops it from working.

I have the touchscreen hooked up to a hub that is connected to a powered hub.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here.

Thanks
Adam

are you talking about a usb hub?

my guess is that something else is hogging up the bandwidth on your usb channel

hubs should only be used for devices that are only used once in a while, that touch screen probably requires quite a bit of bandwidth

plug it directly into the motherboard.

Things like keyboards, and mice are fine on a hub.

But things like cd-roms, hard drives, printers, etc. should be plugged directly into the pc if at all possible.
