I am sure many of you could relate when I say...one doesn't have enough money to make computer that one desires. So, to be truthful, I have spending limit of $1000. I have been doing some research to find what is best for this spending limit.

Simply, there is too many options. So, I am leaving as a open discussion.
If you had thought about what to buy when you had a $1000 dollars (price has to include monitor)...Please feel free to write your recommendation.

This is challenge...you are welcome to tell me why others' system is horrible and why your is the possible best.

Thanks :D

About $1100 after tax, a little over budget but that comes with XP Media Center and stuff. ;)

I have very sensitive eyes...and the 15" monitor is not really cutting up for me...can anyone modify it to fit SAMSUNG 205BW Black 20" 6ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height Adjustments - which should cost around 300?

THis doesn't leave much room...but I want more eye-comfortable orientation without losing too much tech.

Another note, I do not need operating cd-key/CD for window since I am going to use the keys i have for my laptop and use labtop only for local network use.

Another note, I took note of your graphic card...even though it is GDDR3, it didn't seem to support many games. Furthermore, I have also noted that I can't burn dvd?

Thanks for the try though...

I would suggest waiting another couple of weeks, that's when all of the Christmas overstock will be going on sale, and they'll be doing better knockoffs after the huge drop in sales numbers.

But, as for the current items listed all look pretty good. Only other thing would be to replace the stock PSU in the case with a full retail one, but this can be done at a later time...

I am going to wait til end of christmas...perhaps few days...but what is your suggestion on AMD motherboard and its processor? why, is intel better?

oh yeah, so far I am only satisfied with these:

Easily the best build, throw in a DS3 if you want to and you are set. This is the best because much better video card, the RAM is corsair, and you can always upgrade the RAM and easily OC everything. The mobo is also quad core supportive. Tell me what you think!

You are missing cd drive, sound card, and other things...but all thing considered...do you think it is worth enough to sacrifice the CPU for GPU?
