Worked on the most filthy computer ive seen.
CPU fan froze BUT the power supply fan worked fine.
I had some tools i acquired from my dentist and in my tool box. (scrapers).
Got to get them if ya don't have them. Used for SMT for years and solder.

Plugged in the power and pushed the button first. started and power supply
fan worked not the cpu fan. blew out and used the tools and cleaned.
Pushed the button on tower and started up. Held in and button broke to turn off. Took the front off and disassembled and plastic spring assembly was broke.

I was going to try and fix. super glue and maybe Gorilla glue.

I checked Newegg for button or maybe universal button to work.
No go. What have ya done in the past. My question is if this does not work
what is my options for a fix. what have ya done.
thanks

don't ask it old computer. cant read the info on tower. nobody knows
nothing .........just fix it. its family and fine. Im just looking for options in case this does not work.
thanks

if your not worried about astetics...go to radiosuck...shack and pick up a PBNO momentary switch, solder it to the connectors that would normally connect to said button...and voila...you have a power switch...

thats one idea. i was even thinking of a 3 way switch (toggle). if needed.
Reset, off and on (up). what else?
