Tp-link not working On Windows XP

My brother has recently fixed my computer due to a virus that constantly froze my computer. Anyways, instead of Windows 7, he placed Windows XP. Everything was all set up, except for the Wireless adapter(Tp-link TL-WN722N), so what I did was, I went to Tp-link.com, because my computer couldn't install it, after that I downloaded/installed it, and it finally worked. There was one problem though, My computer couldn't detect ANY networks at all, I need help .

Unless there is an on/off switch on it, most likely the adapter is bad. Try it on a different machine first.
