Transfer An Entire Drive

i have a computer using windows xp, im pretty sure the hard drive is starting to fail, what would be the best way to transfer everything over from the current drive to a brand new hard drive?.....including the OS

you can use a program like macrium reflect to clone the old drive to the new.ive used it in the past and it worked perfectly for me.if you have western digital hdds you can use the free version of acronis true image.i use this method for regular backups to my second drive.anything happens to my main drive i just boot to my second drive ad im up and running again.then i can clone everything back to drive no 1 or a new drive if its dead.
