Transfer documents and pictures from old PC to new PC

I have ordered a new PC, I want to transfer my pictures and documents to my new PC. Is there a easy way of doing it? I don't want everything from my computer, just my school stuff and old pictures and things like that. Help is appriciated

Copy it to a flashdrive if you have one big enough.

If you bought another desktop, just remove the hard drive from the old pc and install it in the new one.

If it's not a desktop, then just get one of these:

Or use Windows Easy Transfer - create another partition, transfer over, reinstall windows, transfer back.

You can also only use it to come from Windows 7 to Windows 8/8.1. PITA.
