transfering files

i was thinking about getting a bigger HD 4 my Solo, and dont know/if i can transfer files? from the old HD 2 teh new 1. and would anybody know how big i can go? i was probrably going 2 get a 20GB.

you mean make an exact copy of the hard drive or just transfer your files and keep your OS/drivers etc. on the smaller hard drive?

ok, soo the mini ATA is 4 the laptop, and standard is 4 the desktop?

im confused lol, i want all my files from my laptops old HD, 2 the new laptop HD.

yeah, you can do that, the mini ata is for the notebook.
Basically you'll need to store the files on your old drive onto your pc, then once you've setup windows on your new drive connect your new drive to your pc then transfer your old files across
