I installed windows 7 onto the computer I built over winter using an OEM disk. I am thinking of transferring most of the parts into an mITX case to shrink it down and allow me to transfer it from my desk to my tv more easily.
From what I recall an OEM disk is tied to the motherboard. As a result will I have to reformat my boot drive and install a new windows disk in the new pc? If so could I use the original OEM disk in the old pc if I added replaced components?
My hope is to have a portable gaming/media PC, and a more basic pc for office/downloads or maybe converting into a server or NAS if possible.
