Transferring from one phone to another phone

Is there a way to transfer everything stored on one phone, such as telephone contacts, pictures, apps etc. to another phone without having to do it manually ?

iPhone allows you to simply take a backup of the phone and restore it to the new phone.
Android phones allow you to sync your Google account which includes contacts, apps, etc. (pictures are normally manual)
When you setup a new Android phone you can normally choose to copy data over NFC by holding both phones together.

I just bought a new Samsung phone a couple of months ago and Samsung has a great little utility called Smart Switch that lets you transfer everything from the old to the new phone.

As per others the cloud sync feature should restore what you listed.

Verizon has an app called Content Transfer that is pretty legit.
