The new internet explorer 7 SUCKS. Luckily I have an older verion on a different computer. But what do I need to transfer to make it work on the other computer?

first off, did you just install the new one? Did you get a new computer with it preloaded?

If you just upgraded, go to Control Panel > Add Remove Progams > Click show updates and find the one that says Internet Explorer 7. Uninstall it.

Alternatively you could just switch to Firefox which a ton of the members here use, maybe you could check it out: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

I personally installed the new one. I believe I had IE6 or even 5.5 which I need back. OldApps.com or whatever doesnt work meaning everything is compressed on top of being compressed. I love firefox, but some of the applications my mother uses she needs IE.

lmao.. The IE 7 sucks so you're reverting to IE 6? IE 6 is horrible. It has more holes than swiss cheese. It's a terrible browser.

Then again, so is Firefox. Interestingly enough I was just at a service call the other day with a fellow that happened to be a webmaster. He was tauting Firefox, until I showed him what his site looked like in other browsers.

Needless to say, him and Firefox no longer see eye to eye (to say the least).

Firefox is complete, total, absolute garbage.

uninstall 7 and it will automatically revert back to 6...don't worry

but don't user IE anyway...much better browsers: Firefox/Opera

What is your reasoning for saying Firefox is garbage?

Are you saying that Firefox displayed his site well, while it was broken in other browsers? That's not really a testament for or against Firefox... that's just poor coding. You gotta make sure that a site is represented well in all popular browsers, regardless of your preference.

u tell them...

Actually he used Yahoo Site Builder to build it. It was a very basic layout and Firecrap STILL screwed it up. See, once you design websites you realize just how much of a piece of garbage Firefox really is. Firefox fanboyism is SO 1990's.

So, the way you build a site is you build it like you always would. That guarantees you that it works in Opera and IE. Then, you spend hours tweaking it, trying to make it work in Firecrap and hoping to hell it doesn't break the layout in Opera and IE. It is possible, I've done it, but it's a total pain in the ass.
