transfers from pc to laptop

i want to transfer some music files (20GB) from my desktop to lap top. how do i do this? can u people give me a detailed explanation how this can be done. i really appreciate your helps. thanks.

Well, If they both have network adapters the quickest, easiest, and cheapest thing to do is to use a cross over cable and set up a network between the two of them. If they're already networked through a hub then just transfer over the network. There are other ways but it would involve more time and money.

If not then USB keys and/or optical media would be the route to go

Yeah but with 20GB better make sure you got a dvd burner! Otherwise you'd need about 30 CD's
