Transformer oil cooling ?

Anyone ever try dumping their mobo in something like this: http://www.shell-lubricants.com/Electrical/diala_hfx.html#1

This stuff is rated for kiloVolts so arcing and short-circuiting would be no problem and it's designed for cooling Plus this one is fire retardent

Yeah I've seen boards in oil before but they look really grimey (from the yellow colour of the oil), also I've seen them in fluorinert (from 3M) which is clear and colourless.

i've worked with transformer oil... it was rated at 60 KV... so insultation shouldn't be a problem.

The only stuff ive seen is made by shell and that was a yellowish colour... i suppose it could look cool ive you had some light illuminating it.

"fluorinert" hmmm, might just be worth checking out

its not just any old oil... its extremely purified and specifically chosen for its properties... not too sure how well oil conducts heat tho
