Triple 3870x2's?

Right now I have two 3870 X2's in crossfire. My motherboard has 4 PCI-E slots. Now, here is my question.

Can I get one more of the same exact 3870 X2 and it will run fine? I am fully aware of the heat issue, but are there even drivers for this?

this is the spec of your pci-e slots----\/

"• Three PCI Express x16 slots
- the mazarine slot PCI Express x 16 slot (PCI_E1) supports PCIE 2.0 x 16 mode.
- the two light-blue PCI Express x 16 slots (PCI_E2 & PCI_E3) support PCI Express x 8 mode only.
- supports SLI technology.
• Two 32-bit v2.3 Master PCI bus slots (support 3.3v/5v PCI bus interface)"

you could get a 3rd but you wont be running your cards at full x16 as the other 2 slots are x8....

as long as you have the connectors and the heat issue under control im sure you could do it!

wait for one of the graphics guru's to tell you how

me personaly i wouldnt bother-i would spend the cash on a core2duo cpu overclock it and run them 2 cards in crossfire (maybe try overclocking them)
and you'd have a better system all round

you could do it with 9800gx2's that i know of, but the only reason that would work, is it has cuda, amd has something along the lines of cuda, but it only works with actual ati workstation cards

Wait, you have 2 3870X2's, but you have an SLI board?

*Ahem* the 3870X2 only has ONE crossfire connector on each card. Thus making it impossible to connect more than two cards together.

bahahahaha this is the stupidest thread ever. sorry, but i had to say it. good job on the crossfire on an SLI board...

and even more LOL at his sig "Crysis runs like its nothing"

sorry, i know im not contributing anything useful...
