You can only run 2 monitors in sli. The 9800gx2 is a singlecard sli configuration, and therefor can only run 2 monitors.
Well, you could have two cards, but they wouldnt be in sli. What im saying is that cards in sli only support two outputs, but if you had say, two 9800gx2's running independantly(not quad sli) then you can use four outputs. Ex- I have an svideo out on my 9800gtx, and two dvi. I cannot use both dvi and svideo, can use one dvi and one svideo, or two dvi, but not all three.you can get 2 cards in sli, same as having quad sli, then you can have 3 monitors up and running.
If you mean that the card is in SLI but that doesn't mean it has 4 outpts (like having 2 seperate cards and sliing them would do) then yea thats right![]()
I dont think that disabling sli would work to enable all three outputs, i may be wrong though. You'll most likely be able run 3 monitors (DVIx2 + HDMI) So your 3rd monitor needs a hdmi input, or composite, Just enable SLi when you want to start gaming, for everything else use multiple monitor mode.
Do NV's drivers still represent internal SLi the same way as bridge mode does? I haven't played with a GX card since the 7 series and there's not much on the web.
