hey all,
so i recently got a 3rd screen for a steal (only £20)

however i only have a gtx460, i was just wondering what AMD card can i upgrade too that will play the likes of dirt three across all three,

if i can avoid bumping up my power supply too, just due to cost right now,

currently run dirt 3 maxed would love to keep it that way

thanks all

Hd 6950 would be what id strive for minimum for three screens and even then its not ideal. Iirc it will also mean a bump up in PSU. ALthough i could be wrong.

EDIT: you may get away with your current psu actually. This is what Linkin says you need in his psu guide.

GPU/// PSU/// Amps on rail i think. (may want to double check it in psu section of forum)
HD 6950...............................500W ..........................36A

You wont have much headroom but it should work.

Like i said just double check. But it seems you should be able to.

Also i think your pretty much looking for AMD cards. I dont think nvidia do Three screens unless you have them in SLI. Whereas single amd gpu's do.

Most of the mid to upper level 6xxx radeon cards will handle up to three monitors. Depending on the input of the monitor and the card however, you may have to buy special adapters to fit them.

actualy, the new 6 series cards from nvidia run up to 4 monitors off of 1 card. however the prices arnt the greatest if you are tight on funds. i dont know when the 660 is supposed to be released, but if you can wait, then that may be a route to consider. if not then a 6950 would be your only viable option considering your budget

if you can afford a 6950, try for a 7850, they're faster, more vram (great for higher resolution which is what multiple monitors is), and also more power efficient i believe.

DERP moment for me. Forgot about the 7850. Yeh what jonny said. Theyre around the same-ish price. :P

actually newegg only has 4 6950's left, and the cheapest one is still more than the cheapest 7850, and the 7850 also has a rebate and the 6950 doesn't

DERP moment, he's in scotland, but still, 6950's are getting rare while 7850's are common.
