Trojan disabling my browser

I am running Windows XP on my desktop. I downloaded a keygen and used it and apparently it had a trojan dropper in it... Although my computer says that I have very good signal strength, I am still not able to use any browsers... I even tried using different programs (such as Steam and World of Warcraft launcher) which run on different ports... No luck there either. I have a feeling that the trojan may be blocking ports or have messed with the registry. Any suggestions on getting rid of this thing?

2 things to do here. You need to update malwarebytes as you are not using the latest definitions. So, open Malwarebytes, click on the update tab, click on check for updates. Keep doing that until it says you have the latest version. Then run another quick scan and post the results.

Also, what you posted was not the full hijackthis log. You missed the top 25percent or so of the log. Make sure everything is highlighted before clicking on copy and then paste it back here with the new malwarebytes log.
 
The update only updates the database version. Has nothing to do with the scan time which should only take a few minutes. If it takes longer than 5 minutes then you have lots of temp files that needs to be deleted. You can run Ccleaner to clean your system of old files. I always do that before running any scans on clients computers.
 
Thats because you did a full scan, not a quick scan. Make sure you change the scan type to quick before scanning.

Ok... when I first installed malwarebytes, I saved directly on the flash drive. From there I installed it on my computer. Now I installed it on this computer, got the updates and copied "program files">"malwarebytes" onto the flash drive...I tried running the program by opening mbam in said folder and recieved "run-time error '0'" and "run-time error: '440' automation error" in two different messages.
 
It can't run from a flash drive, it has to run from the computer itself after you install it. The install creates other entries in your registry that allows the program to run correctly.
 
You already installed the program and ran a scan, all you had to do was open malwarebytes, click on the update tab, click on check for updates and it would have updated. Why are you using a flash drive? Are you trying to run it on 2 computers?
 
Then in that case, lets try running combofix.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.

In your next reply please post:
  • The ComboFix log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running

Save the combofix file to your flash drive and then transfer it to your computer's desktop and run it from there.
