The virus on the title is the name that came up on the AVG.

and everytime it comes up the title will be different like

Trojan horse PSW.Generic5.SNO
Trojan horse PSW.Generic5.SLV
Trojan horse PSW.Generic5.OTG

and the location will be on

C:\\WINDOWS\system32\3.exe
C:\\WINDOWS\system32\8.exe
C:\\WINDOWS\system32\5.exe
C:\\WINDOWS\system32\9.exe

I can't seems to delete it. I tried in safe mode but it just comes right back with a different name.

Here is a log hopefully it can capture where the real virus is hiding.

Please look through it for me and help me delete that virus

A few things here.

Please uninstall Yok and Tencent. To do so, please click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. If any of the programs below are listed, please click on them and click Remove
  • Yok SuperSearch
  • TencentAddressBar

Your version of HijackThis is out of date. Please delete this version from your system and download the updated HijackThis installer from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe.

Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan only

Place a check next to the following entries:

Please close all open windows except for HijackThis and choose Fix checked

Once done, please go to http://virusscan.jotti.org , click on Browse, and upload the following file for analysis:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\serdst.exe

Then click Submit. Allow the file to be scanned, and then please copy and paste the results here for me to see.

Please repeat that process for this file:

c:\windows\system32\rsmygpm.dll

If that scanner is busy, please use this one: http://www.virustotal.com/

Once done, please run a BitDefender scan at http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html and post the results along with a new HijackThis log.
 
I have deleted the entries that you mentioned

however i was unable to find the file serdst.exe and rsmygpm.dll

I could not find yok supersearch and tencentaddressbar on the add and remove program

here is a new log

The avg warning no longer comes up after i disable the start up of the yok in the msconfig

I'm afraid not. You have multiple entries which indicate the presence of a Trojan that is designed to steal passwords for online games. I would suggest finding a clean PC and changing any such passwords that have been entered on the infected computer.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. Do not run it yet.

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop.
  1. Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
  2. Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
  3. On the main screen select the icon Update.
    • Next select the Start Update button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  4. Once the update has completed select the Scanner icon at the top of the screen, then select the Settings tab.
  5. Once in the Settings screen click on Recommended actions and then select Quarantine.
  6. Under Reports
    • Select Do not automatically generate reports
    • Un-Select Only if threats were found
  7. Please close AVG Antispyware without running a scan.

You may wish to copy these instructions to a notepad document or print them out, since you will be unable to access the Internet to read from this site while in Safe Mode.

Please reboot into Safe Mode (tap F8 before Windows loads and select Safe Mode from the list).

Please run ATF Cleaner:
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run ATF-Cleaner.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.

Please open AVG Anti-Spyware
  • Run a complete system scan with AVG Anti-Spyware.
    IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning, it may interfere with the scanning process:
  • Launch AVG Anti-Spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
  • Select the Scanner icon at the top and then the Scan tab then click on Complete System Scan.
  • AVG Anti-Spyware will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
    Once the scan is complete do the following:
  • If you have any infections you will prompted, then select Apply all actions
  • Next select the Reports icon at the top.
  • Select the Save report as button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware
  • Reboot into Normal Mode

Please run HijackThis and choose Do a system scan only.

Please close all open windows except for HijackThis and choose Fix checked

Please click on Start -> Search -> All Files and Folders. Click on More Advanced Options and tick Search system folders and Search hidden files and folders. Search for the following files one at a time, and delete any instances that appear (if any appear):

LYLoader.exe
LYLoadbr.exe
LYLeador.exe
LYLoador.exe
LYLoadar.exe
LYLoadmr.exe
LYLoadhr.exe
LYLoadqr.exe
MSDEG32.dll
MSDWG32.dll
MSDCG32.dll
MSDOG32.dll
MSDSG32.dll
MSDMG32.dll
MSDHG32.dll
MSDQG32.dll


Please delete the following folders:
C:\Program Files\TENCENT
C:\Program Files\yok

Once done, please run a BitDefender scan at http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html and post the results.

Please then reboot, and post a new HijackThis log along with the results of the BitDefender scan and the AVG report you saved earlier.

I am so bombed out from 45 hour work week and 12 credit at college.

I don't even fell like turning on my pc when i get home. I go to bed right away.

I am in the middle of class right now and though i should leave a reply.

I think I will do it tomorrow since i have half day off.

I don't play any games on that laptop so it is fine for the time being, but i would like the clean it up none the less.
