trouble downloading Windows 7

I am trying to download Windows 7 but I have run into a problem. When I click on the download now button, a page comes up that says your download will begin shortly. A few seconds later another page comes up but it is blank and it does nothing else.

I am sure this is a problem with my pc, which is running Vista. I successfully downloaded Windows 7 on a different pc running XP. I thought maybe it had to do with Java but I tried reinstalling that but didn't help. I have tried using both IE and Firefox. I don't think it has anything to do with Firefox because I used Firefox on the other pc and it worked fine.
 
Microsoft Windows7 RC has a download manager you need to download first. After that - the D/L manager takes care of downloading the app over time if you just leave it alone. It doesn't always start downloading immediately. I have downloaded Windows 7 4 times - and the time varied widely for each download - the longest took about 8 hours to download. But that was when the RC was just being released - so the servers may have been overloaded at the time.
 
I have the pop up blocker disabled.

After I click the download button, a window pops up that says Download Manager but nothing ever shows up.
