Trouble in power in Comp - Black Screen after power up

Need help, i pressed the power on button and nothing loads up...not even the bios, no beep sound no nothing, only the HDD LED lights up (not shining), and my CD-ROM LED lights up as well. I am sure that its not my hard disk & cd-rom problem, because i have tried to install the hard disk and cd-rom on other comp. Now i am suspecting my motherboard is the source of problem, seems like both my IDE sockets got problems? not sure, or is my processor causing this.....quite confused and need help from anyone of you.

First thing you may want to try is resetting the CMOS and BIOS by removing the battery. Just remove the battery, leave it out for a good 20 mins or so, then replace it, see if that fixes it. If not, try swapping over some parts like your video card or memory to try and source the problem. Also it may assist some of the other members if you post your systems specifications.
