I'm having a hard time getting a monitor to look good with a different computer we hooked up
Computer is a Compac Presario 800 MHz with an on-board monitor plug in.
It has a Nvidia G force 2 300MX video card.
I hook it up to the video card and monitor will not work. The on-board plug in works but only 2 and 16 colors. Installed driver off net twice and still no good.
Also I tried to help my nephew out with his video card. His computer wont work with a new video card. I don't know the computer or card to tell you the specs of that set up.
QUESTION IS:
Can installing a monitor or video card that hard or am I just having bad luck.
I read something on the net about constant frequency video cards.
Are these cards reacting negatively with the monitors??
