Hey guys,

First time building and just assembled and attempted to power things up. Computer powers up for about 5 seconds, shuts off, then starts again after a few seconds and continues running. All the fans turn on. No signal on monitor. Any ideas where to start?...I know it's probably something simple I'm missing as I'm a noob, but I've searched online and can't find anything. Here's my specs...thanks in advance!!! :)

Ok so I reseated the cpu and then it worked. Took a break, went to install XP and now I have no power. Could the PSU have died?...how do I go about testing it?

On the back of the Power Supply is a switch try that....

otherwise make sure all of the power cords are plugged into the motherboard.

Thanks for the reply. I've already checked all the connections and the switch on the back of the power supply. Anyway I could check to see if the power supply is working?...maybe with a voltage meter?

Case PSU? Problem solved. New PSU should be your first buy. But yes, try PC Wizard 2008 at look at the voltages.

LOL I'm still having problems. New power supply arrived from newegg today. Installed it and still nothing will power on. I've tried disconnecting different components and have also tried to power on with only the MB connected and still nothing. Any suggestions?
