Trouble shooting

I have power to my DVD drive and CD-RW but the device manager cant seem to detect them. The interface Ribbon is in working order. Any ideas how to get these devices reinstalled?

are the devices being detected in bios?

IDK what "bios" is how would i check that?

when u boot up ur computer its the first screen u see and its black with white text, usually u press delete or f12 to get into bios setup.
