Truth About Temperatures!

i dont know how acurate this temp program is myself im very scepticle of any program like that!

i think you should be able to get readout on mobo that displays the temp direct from the cpu with no need for all these installing software crap

The readout on the mobo would only display the same temp as the software, since they'd both be using the same temp sensors. The only way to get a 'real' reading is to put a temperature sensor between the CPU's IHS and HSF.

i was thinking of doing that but i didnt want it to interfere with the cooling!

i am not worried about my temps, my inline bitspower thermal sensor is showing my liquid coolant at 27c and my cpu is 34-36c at 3.6ghz so im happy,

at full load using prime95 i get 55c

Yeah, I think it'd have some kind of an effect on it, since it would stop some of the heat being dissipated into the HSF for sure.

Nah, I wouldn't be worried about your temps! :P You've got an awesome WC'ing set up. That's awesome temps, for those clocks! Swap me? lol

cool thanx, but i am running out of room inside the antec1200-i got to fit another radiator, pump and res for my 4890's :)

as for the swap... erm no!!! ;)

Wisconsin winter... you open the window for a minute and you have enough AC to get you through spring and summer.

But seriously, I could bring my computer outside, and it'd be like I'm cooling with liquid helium, BUT COLDER!!

With coretemp if I -10 like you kuro it shows me a impossible temp! Shows my temps 24-24-18-22 and there is no way id be blessed with such a temperature. Not when you had to sell your soul for yours.

My biggest worry is is not 100% on each chip = screw up a overclock and damage your CPU.
