Hi i am new here,been searchin for answers, i presently have a dell xps 400,and a nvidia card ,i think 6800, i recently purchased another card 6800 nvidia,and was trying to run a 3 monitor setup, for nascar 2003 and flight sim, but my motherboard only has 1 slot for a vid card, is it worth it to change the mother board? or am i wasting time. im not great with the computer but i can get by with some help,
i really want to run a 3 monitor setup, i dont have alot to spend,but if anyone can help me out and let me know what way would be good for me to get my sytem set, would be great, i dont understand all the lingo, is it pci slots im trying to have more than 1, i will check back and see what comes here, i appreciate any help , thank you peezee
 
thanx for the reply, i was searchin after i posted and read about dell xps, i guess ill have to get a new system ,i would like to setup a three moniter setup i have 2 nvidia 6800 cards 1 im using now and works great, can i re use these cards and add them to another system? how can i tell if there are more than 1 card slot avail in what im buying or building, any suggestions?
 
6800 is really, really outdated. SLI won't do any better with those crappy cards. What is your budget?

Also, what is it used for? Just internet or gaming? And if gaming, what games?

mostly gaming nascar2003 papyrus ,micro flight sim and a few racing games, i do go online withit but just skype and browsing etc. paintshop stuff , i built a driving simulator and race online and offline, but i was checkin out some 3 and 6 monitor systems i saw, and really want to do a 3 monitor setup, i prob have 3 to 5 hundred maybe. if its gonna be lots more ill have to save more cash, but id like to see what i need to get so i can at least start grabbing it even if piece by piece, i dont want to buy stuff i cant use or like u said outdated, my system works ok for what it is ,so i can go little at atime if needed, but i dont really know anywhere to go here and get info well trusting info, so i saw u here are very helpfull, thanx
 
for 500 maybe doubt that it will perform the best on 3 monitors though

whats a realistic $$ amount for what im lookin for? and what should i be lookin for ? i have 3 17 inch flat screens ,so i dont need monitors, just a system
 
wow that is awsome and not too bad on price ,i would be able to run 3 monitors? where can i purchase all this from, ? man i wish i knew more,to be able to figure what to put together, thats great,, how did u learn? is there anything to help get me started on learning more ? sure if you dont mind linking it up ,would make it easier for me , thanx alot for looking into it for me, i didnt even know where to start awsome ,,peezee

The games you mentioned it should run 3 monitors no problem. you can get from newegg ill throw the links in in a sec.

i learned by looking and googling what i wanted to know lol i caught on quick.
