I need to upgrade from XP to Win8.1 for my desktop pc and want to upgrade my cpu and video card at the same time. I can get a Dual Pentium e6800 or Core 2 duo e8600 cpu for around $40 from ebay and a new video card for $20-$30 and have a much improved computer. But would it be better to buy a motherboard and cpu combo from a place like Tiger Direct or Newegg if their combos will work with my current psu and RAM? Will the onboard video card be sufficient for W8.1? Tiger Direct and Newegg have several motherboard/cpu combos for around $100. Thanks for any replies.
