Trying to go to XP from Vista

I'm trying to load windows xp on a POS Compaq Presario that has Vista on it. Don't laugh, This is not my computer, but a co-workers neighbor's. When booting from the disc, it says

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in the computer.

Make sure any hard disk drives are powered and properly connected....blah blah."

It has a SATA HD btw. What do I need to do about this to get it to continue setup and get rid of this OS?

You need to install sata drivers.
On the beginning you need to hit F6 (if I remember correctly) and provide sata drivrs on the floppy disk.

I was thinking that too, but I wasn't sure where I could get the SATA drivers from.

I would imagine you can find them on the compaq website.
Or on the moterboard or HDD manufacturer website.

I figured it out. I went into the BIOS and disabled RAID and put it to IDE. It's formatting now. Damn 160gig takes awhile
