trying to install a fan, help pls

I just got a new CPU and I can't get in the fan. The one I took out had screws and the one has these push buttons. To me it looks like there is no way the buttons will fit in the threaded holes. Even if I get the white parts in I can't imagine being able to push the black parts down.
Am I missing something? Will this fan not work in my MB?

Help us out a little more by posting mobo, cpu, and heatsink info. Add some pics too.
