Trying to install win 95

I'm trying to install windows 95 since it wont let me install XP from MS' installation disks. But When I make a partition and go to setup.exe, it hit enter to install, and it says that there isn't enough space, that it needs so much space to install. What do I do, I know that there is enough space. When I made the partition, it hit yes for the large disk space thing.

What do I need to do?

Did you format the drive? and what do you mean "it wont let me install XP from MS' installation disks" ? that doesnt make sense. If your computer is newer than about 2001, you wont be able to get drivers for 95. Also- Win95 sucks. I would not reccomend it.

I went to the Microsoft website and downloaded the exe that creates 6 disks to install windows xp. They are the bootable diskettes that copy files needed to install XP. I will try formatting again.

Well, I would much rather have 2000, but I would never stay with 95 :P

Formatting worked, I don't know why it chose to work this time o.0

Thanks.
