tsstcorp dvd+ rw ts h653b won't read

I have a tsstcorp dvd+ rw ts h653b i know it works because i just toke it out of my old pc and was working fine and now on new pc not reading anything but it is picked up in my computer all drives are installed done tryed deleating upperfilters & lower filters no luck Can anyone help me please done spent all my nights trying to get it to read again help please!!!!! I'm running windows vista ultimate 64 bit and i toke the drive out of vista home basic 32 bit and work fine in that old pc
 
Does it work if you put it back into the old PC? If it works back in the old PC again then you have a software issue on the new pc. Are there any errors in device manager? Try putting a bootable cd/dvd into the drive and make sure the bios is set to boot to cd drive first. If it boots to it then the drive is fine and its a software issue.
 
Check to make sure that it is jumpered correctly on the back of the drive. If you only have one cdrom drive in the system change it to master.
