TurboCache?

I have the choice between a 9600gt and a 9600gt with turbocache, my parents are going to pay for it for me, but which one is better? does turbocache work better or equal to a regular card?

Can't say I've ever heard of turbocache, it seems more like a marketing gimmick to me, but since its not coming out of your pocket, why would you care? I doubt it would hurt your performance and it MAY give a small boost, so why not? Granted, if they're willing to spring for a little extra (or maybe you could chip in you freeloading bum:P) a 4770 would be a much better choice, turbocache or no.

EDIT: After a little research, turbocache allows the card to access shared memory, increasing performance. Should be fine so long as they don't skimp out on the actual memory of the card. (I.E. a 512mb 9600GT vs. a 256mb turbocache 9600GT, not sure if this even exists, but I could see where the marketing ploys would come in.)

Actually it can harm performance because the card lists total memory WITH TurboCache and has less discrete memory, and system RAM is slower then dedicated video RAM

Dont risk it, get it without TurboCache

I'll just get a regular model. We can't afford a GTX 295, and my system couldn't power it anyway. and the GTX 285 is better :P
