TV Tuner Audio Help...

Ok, I just bought a Norwood Micro PCI TV Turner Card (fairly Cheap) and I'm having trouble getting audio through it. The only way I can get the TV audio is to have my speaker cord hooked to the PCI Tuner Audio out cord directly by passing my soundcard, so then I'm not getting my sound card audio... Is there a way I can get both, with out having to unhook and rehook every time?

I dont know if I explained this well, but I've been messing with it for hours and I'm about ready to uninstall it and take it back...

...read the manual. They usally have pretty little diagrams that are quite descriptive on how to connect these things :P

Did it not come with a jumper to go from the capture card to the sound card?

*sigh* One day I will finish my Video Captureing 101...

I don’t think I have made myself very clear on what the real problem is.

** My computer audio is running strait out of the soundcard through an external audio cable, which is hooked up to my home stereo. That’s how I receive my computer sound. Mp3’s/DVD’s/Games Etc. When the sound is set up like this I get that sound, but I can not get the TV PCI cards audio to come through?

I currently can receive audio for the TV tuner, through the Multi Video Input Cable when plugging my external stereo audio cable directly into the Audio out plug. But when I have it configured like that, there is no computer audio. For example there is no audio when I use my DVD player or Winamp.

I’ve read instructions, flip flopped cables, and I’m still not getting set up that I want…

Any suggestions or ideas would be great!

Hope this helps!

can't you just connect the audio out cable to the line in on your sound card, or is that what you have already been doing?

Ugh... OK, here's what you're suppose to do... I didn't check if that card has internal connections or what, so I'll just assume it's all external...

Audio comes though the cable, but not though the yellow RCA connection, as you probably know. That thing appears to have a blue connection which is typically audio input. OK? Now then, you take the jumper cable and connect it from the output on the capture card to the LINE IN on your sound card. Go to sound proporties and be sure the line in is not muted(just under the normal sound control, only bother with recording if you plan to capture) Now then, if you wish to capture from say RCA, you will need to purchase a converter that goes from RCA to the headphone jack, so it'll plug into that blue connection...

Did you miss any internal audio cables, according to the specs on your card, it says that it comes with
Audio Cables (1 internal and 1 external)
Perhaps you forgot the internal Cables? If not, then perhaps you can get a spliter (Y adapter or something) so your Sound Card, and TV Tuner can "share" your speakers. Thoes that help?

Edit: lol, The_other_one and I posted @ the same time
