Can I use a tv tuner card with my notebook even if I'm not running Media Center Edition? I have XP Pro and was looking at this but I'm not sure if I can run it...any help is appreciated...thanks

Media Center is a load of practically useless software that just bogs down your machine. You should be happy you don't have it.

I assume since you linked to something from HP that you own an HP. You are NOT limited to hardware avaliable from HP. If you can find something less on say Newegg, it should work just fine. You just need to be sure it's compatible with your computer. Are you sure your laptop has an Expresscard slot?

actually no it's not an HP it's an alienware. And yeah I'm positive it's an express slot, you can look here if yeh don't believe me :)

if you can find a cheaper, also good one, then by all means point it out to me. BTW that HP one is only like 30-40$ on ebay...
