Okay i havn't had built my computer because i've been working but here is my problem... I am planing on throuwing my old CRT out of my room, and put a tv tuner card in my computer, what kind is the best a Pcie 1X or a PCI card, or does it matter at all?.. and another thing is that i want to plug my suround sound in it.. do i have to buy a sound card also for that?.. because i'm going to lpace my monitor on my wall, throw my desk out of my room, and use a wireless keyboard and mice... and use my monitor for everything... my monitor doesn't have a RGB insert or S-vid, or Coax... so what could i do?... and any help on finding a cheap under 25$ tuner card?... I don't mind stores like circuit city, and brandsmart or new egg... Thank you...

You get what you pay for..

the cheaper tv tuner card you go, the lower the quality is going to be.
I run a VisionTek TV Wonder HD 650 and love it. I use it for just watching tv
on one of my displays when im at my computer. Excellent card.
newegg has them for around the $115 range.

If you want to hook up your surround sound to your computer, i think you can use an optical cable(dont quote me im unsure) to run from your computer to your surround sound receiver. The TV tuner card has a jack on it that accepts headphone type plugs. 3.5mm jack/plug or whatever. Im not sure if it is for output or input for sound. I tried using mine as an input from my MP3 player and it did not work. So im guessing it is for output.
