tv tuner dish network

Will tv tuners receive channels from dish network? Also, I have a dvd player that records tv onto dvd's, will this work with dish network.

I ask because i just moved into a new environment, and used to have comcast. I want to know its possible before trying to make it work. Thanks a lot.

i dont know about the tv tuner but the dvd recorder should work
