I want to record tv shows to my pc,how do i get really good,"clear" quality video.

Is the graphics card a factor?

Or do i just need to get a good tv tuner card?

I'm using a crappy old Intel direct agp 3D card with 11mB video memory.

By making sure the source is HDTV/Sattelite. Anything else wont really matter all that much as it'll roughly be VHS quality.

If its got TV/VIVO capability, yes. If you're looking for a single card solution, ATi's AIW and nVidia's Cinema series work quite well :)

Erm if i want to stick with my crappy graphics card, will i "still" be able to get

recorded video with good resolution just with an addition of a new quality

tuner card.

Or that i'll have to upgrade my graphics card to get that clarity video? :o

In your case you might want to consider buying an all in one.. TV Tuner and Video card..
