I am looking to get a TV card/USB device for my laptop and just wondered if anybody had got any views on what's decent and what to stay clear of. I've got a mid level Sony Vaio with an X-black screen, am looking to get something faily good to compliment that. would also like to pick up freeview channels aswell as analogue. also some sort of record and playbackwould be great.
Any hints, tips and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rog.

Well normally i would suggest looking at Hauppauge's DVB-T's because they are a very well known brand. But i bought myself a cheaper one off of eBay, and i must say im impressed with it. The aeriel provided is pretty much useless, but they give you an adapter to plug normal aeriels in. Its bloody hard to get a signal in my room, but when i do, the quality is amazing...especially when watching the football on BBC.

That is the one i bought, but like i said, if you donty mind spending abit more, go with Hauppauge.

All of those products use digital terrestrial.
