OK, recently bought a Media Center PC, but PowerCinema is beginning to annoy me. Does anybody know of any software for watching TV on PC's? I have a card and everything, that's all sorted, just want a program other than PowerCinema.

MCE is the media center operating system (basically xp with some new fancy bits). You buy it with a controller often, You should be able to pick it up online. Just google it. they used to restrict the supply of MCE to new oen machines only. But if you look around you can buy it. Its quite expensive, like $100 or so. But damn its a nice interface.

Also note that it has limitation on the tv tuner cards it will support. Check with microsoft site to see if it is supported. What tuner card is it btw.

Thanks Apo, I'll be using that, but I actually want software that will use my TV Tuner card for accessing television without tearing into my internet connection.

There are various 3rd party applications that use a tv tuner and not your internet connection.

Off hand I cannot list any applications other than MCE (I have and rave about MCE... at least the TV part of MCE)... before purchasing MCE in 2004 I did some research via google and found a few... still went with MCE.

Try a google search.
