Two connections

Does anybody know how to set two internet connections (two NICs in the PC, two IPs, dsl connections).
What I need to do is set all network traffic to use connection 1 (2mb) and only one application (and nothing else) to use connection 2 (128kb-vpn).

The connections need to run simultaneously.

I think that if it can be done, it would be in changing setting for the particular programs rather than changing settings for the connections.

eh most network related aps can be set to only use a certain IP address. For examply, apache web server can be set to use one of your two ip addresses if you have two network cards.

You can bridge connections and what not, though I've not played with it too much, though, due to lack or resources.
