Two Issues with Active Directory

I am having two issues with Active Directory, and any help would be appreciated:

First, I have an OU with a few lab computers in it and I want to have a global security group with a few users in it that are automatically set as local admins on the member computers of the OU. I followed thisguide to set it up, yet the account isn't showing up in the local admin group on the machines. I know the OU is setup properly because I have a default printer setup in the OU that all of the member computers map to automatically. I also can manually add the group to the member computers, but I would rather not do them all by hand.

Second, I have an OU with several computers in it and a default printer. All of the windows XP computer map to it and set it as default just fine but the windows 7 computers in the OU don't recognize the computer.

Any ideas?
