two laptops, one display?

My screen is broken on my old laptop, but it still works...

can I display/control the old laptop, still use it, thru my new laptop? Can I set up the display on my new lappy somehow?

can i switch between both displays on my new laptop?

Yes, but probably not in the way you're thinking of. What you would want to look into is remote desktop software. This is software that you can install that allows you control one computer with another computer.

Of course, to set it up on the laptop with the broken screen, you'll need to connect the laptop to an external monitor. There is no easy way to stream the video directly from one laptop to another.
