Hi everyone,
This is my first post. After searching long and hard I have not found an answer.
I have two Acer 6920G's trying to connect to the same wireless router. They both connect with the router no problem, but only one at a time gets access to the internet.
Whatever laptop that connects to the internet gets an IP address of 192.168.1.1 and the laptop that doesn't get access has an IP address of 169.254.20.5
The laptop that is switched on first gets the connection and the IP address changes accordingly. The laptop that is switched on second connects to the router but does not get internet access.
Furthermore I have a third laptop that is an old Toshiba on XP that works all the time on the wireless router.
Thanks for any help.
Monty
