two PC's one monitor.

That's what I'm doing right now ;) I have my mac mini connected using DVI, and my other machine connected using VGA. It should auto detect which display's actually being used, but I can press a button on my monitor and it'll switch between ports.

well a KVM switch would make it easier to use

and you could sell the speakers and mice and keyboard and pay for the switch for free

I have one of those switches I used at work that I don't use anymore. It works really well. All you do is hit the ctl key twice to switch between the two PC's . I am willing to sell it if you are interested. It comes with everything you need. Cables etc.

I don't know. I paid $50 plus shipping for it. I'll let you have it for $15 plus shipping. So total of $25.

Yea, I can send some pics but its gonna take me a day or two. I'm in the middle of my work week. Have to get it out of a box upstairs, take a couple pics, upload them to a pic hosting site and link it to here.

Here are the pics. There is no software to install and it operates independently of the operating system. I found the manual too. You plug your monitor/keyboard/mouse into the switch. Then it switches between the two sets of cables shown that come with the switch by hitting ctl twice followed by the key number 1 or 2 for #1 or #2 computer.
