two prob

first everything on the desktop dissappeared that i could only do anything via task manager
then it got worse and i could only enter windows xp by choose to shutdown restart standby and something else when i login at the same time what makes the login senseless cause the pc jump back to the login screen or shutdown.does anybody know how to disable or remove the login via bios complete?
