two quick questions about buying RAM

1. is that as long as the RAM i buy is of type DDR3 and i know the motherboard supports DDR3 SDRAM, then they must be compatible and I don't have to take care of anything else? i.e. ....those confusing numbers 1066, 1333, 1666 PC3 12800 etc....

2. If that's not the case and according to the memory specification of my motherboard

2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture

I know there are too many different models of RAM in the market. But according to the above memory specifications, when I do shopping for RAM and look at the packages, having what "number" on the package will gurantee that the RAM i pick is correct

is 2x 4GB MUCH BETTER than 1x8GB?
If that's not the case, I think I will pick 1x8GB so as to allow possibility for future upgrading to 16GB RAM

Thanks all. Background: Newbie
